Like all of the major tire stores, new tire installation at Costco includes static balance (not dynamic or wheel spin balance). Costco does not perform alignments but the techs may inform you of the need based on wear patterns on the tires they remove.

We have a policy to always install the least worn tires to the rear axles on the vehicle. For example, if only one tire needs to be installed, it will be installed on the rear of the vehicle. If two new tires are installed, they will also be installed on the rear of the vehicle.

Tire Installation Requirements. Costco will not perform services on tires purchased by non-members. Costco will only install tires authorized for a specific vehicle. If you are unsure if your purchase is an authorized fitment, contact your local Costco Tire Centre for assistance.

In the context of all-wheel drive vehicles, you should replace all four at the same time. On two-wheel drives, if you don't plan on replacing all four, it's best to replace in pairs, the two front or the two rear, depending on which tire(s) need replacement.

Rotation tips

For rotation, each tire and wheel is removed from your vehicle and moved to a different position. This ensures that all of the tires wear evenly and last longer. If no period is specified in your vehicle owner's manual, tires should be rotated every 10,000 km to 12,000 km.
