This was a short getaway with family(including 3 teens and one 6 yr old) especially selected because of the excellent service provided by Celebrity, and their new stop to include Coco Cay. Although The Reflection is a mature lady, she does not show her age except for some of their outdoor seat cushions and spaces. However, this was not terrible by any means. We both walked off the ship with Covid, causing us to lose the rest of our vacation. Beware. Staff lack basic hygiene. Cabin was dirty in arrival, buffet was disgusting with serving spoon handles falling into food and being left there. Food was the same as in the crew mess when I used to work on ships. some parts were amazing and some parts were awful. Muhammad our room attendant was thoughtful. Our food was amazing & some staff paid heavy attention to detail. The Liar club show was phenomenal. The bad experience was my cousin was with us and has low self esteem and an eating disorder, i convinced her to wear these nice pants set as a cover up that made her feel good. Traveled on Royal Caribbean odessy of the seas last summer and it definitely had the edge. I don't think celebrity quite have the x factor. Food wasn't great. Activities were boring and equipment was cheap. Both swimming pools were tiny for the amount of people cruising.. it was impossible to swim in them as people tended to stand in them with drink in hand to chat to each other. Entertainment

Celebrity Beyond just doesn’t seem premium to me. The sunset bar area wreaked of cigarette smoke the furnishings was stained and dirty. Same can be said about the Rooftop Garden the furniture was worn and stained most of the shade umbrellas were missing the fabric and a lot of dead plants. We are not new to Celebrity but are new to the Edge Class ships and had some reservations about the leap up in size. The ships are spacious and very well designed though the phrase ‘style over substance’ comes to mind, especially when thinking of seating.
