Our latest Clarios Sustainability Report isn't just about our commitment to the environment, but to our most valuable asset – our people. Our dedication to developing our workforce continues to drive my team and all our leaders forward. I’m particularly proud of how many of the programs and people highlighted in this report come from our manufacturing facilities. Our manufacturing workforce makes up 70% of our employees and is the backbone of our company. I’m proud of the work we’ve done to support them in the last year and look forward to what’s ahead.#Clarios #Manufacturing #Sustainability #WorkForce #People #HRhttps://lnkd.in/gi8N-nZ6

Last week we hosted our Mission Values Day at our corporate HQ in Glendale and it was a blast! We kicked the day off with a presentation by adventurer and professional sled-dog racer Blair Braverman and ended the day with an employee carnival (complete with executive dunk tank!) I won't linger on my time in the dunk tank... though my team certainly seemed to enjoy it!You might ask, "What does a dog sledder have to say about the Clarios Mission and Values?" It turns out, a lot. Here are my key takeaways from Blair's presentation:1. Win Together - It takes team work to pull a sled and each dog brings their own unique skill set and personality. Blair shared stories of different dogs stepping forward to lead the team in moments of crisis depending on the terrain. It reminded me of our Insights Trainings. We purposefully build diverse teams so that we can lean on our various strengths when the going gets tough. Our differences make us hardier, just like Blair's dog team.2. Principled - Safety always comes first for Blair's team of dogs, and I can say the same for our teams at Clarios... though we typically don't ask anyone to run in the snow for hours on end!3. Committed - Blair's dogs take off running without knowing how long the trail is or where it may take them, but they keep pushing forward because they trust their leader to guide them to safety. This particularly hit home for me. At the rapid pace our industry is changing, having strong leaders is more importantthan ever for our teams at Clarios. That's why we continue to invest in our leaders. It's a privilege to have the trust of our teams and we must keep working to earn it every day.#Clarios #WinTogether #Mission #Values

The Clarios Korean team planned a great week for our visit. We packed a lot into the time we were there! It was originally meant to be a trip to participate in a Customer & Technology workshop led by Federico Morales-Zimmermann and his team at our Seoul, South Korea office but it turned into so much more. Beyond the workshop, I visited our HR colleagues in Seoul led by Kate Kim, met with the local Employee Sounding Board, toured our Gumi plant and spoke about our Values at a special town hall just for our APAC team. It was the first time having the opportunity to introduce myself to such a large portion of our APAC team in person. It’s not often that you get to take back-to-back trips to Asia over the course of just two months, but I’m always up for the opportunity to meet our colleagues face to face and spend time in our facilities. Thank you to all who made this trip so eventful: Rachel Liu, Ines Na, Jason Roberts, David Patel, John Shusterich, Tom Downie, Leslie Wong, Olaf Sielemann, SJ Won, Kory Weisman, Justin Jeong, Soyoung You, Yonghwan Park, Keeseok La, Ikhee Ryu, Cheolsoo Kim, Taehwan Kim, Joungil Park, Taiyup Kim, Daehyun Son, Junwoo Cho, Jaewon Jeong

This week Ethisphere announced Clarios as one of the World’s Most Ethical Companies for our second year in a row. For us at Clarios, ethics isn’t a buzzword thrown around in board rooms, it’s how our teams live and work according to our shared values each day.Last year to celebrate our inaugural win, we organized a “trophy world tour” and sent trophies to facilities across the world so our employees could see and celebrate the recognition they all had a hand in earning up close. I credit Jill Stenseth and all our global trade compliance teams for executing this feat… coordinating a foot-tall glass trophy’s global voyage across the Clarios supply chain is not for the faint of heart. And to our credit, we only had to order replacements for broken trophies twice (… both broke at the same border crossing!) So, to celebrate another year’s win, I’m sharing some photos from our initial trophy tour (featuring employees from San Antonio, Texas, Changxing, China, and Yumbo, Columbia). Congratulations to our teams across the globe for making this recognition possible once again. And wish us luck on this year’s trophy tour… I’m crossing my fingers for half as much broken glass in 2024.#Clarios #WorldsMostEthicalCompanies #PoweredByClarios

Recently visited our colleagues in China — It was a whirlwind trip with a great group from around the world in EMEA, LATAM, US, and our Asia Shanghai office visiting all three of our Chinese plants in just three days. But what made it most memorable was the incredible hospitality we received from the team. From their commitment to making us feel “at home” by catering in Pizza Hut and McDonald’s, to bringing me herbal remedies for the cold I came down with in Shanghai. The team went above and beyond… not to mention all the impressive work they’re doing. They gave us ample opportunity and reason to practice saying one of the only three words I know in Mandarin: “xièxiè” (thank you). So, xièxiè to all the teams that made our trip so good, especially Vincent (Yiming) Zhou, Pengpeng Wang, Tony Sun, Harry Chen, Yan Liu, Abel Wang, Steven Xu, Rick Wang, Nathan (Tau) Liu, Chen Le, Cici Liu, Yaping Gong, Simon Wang, Joe Liu, Nicole Zhou, Rachel Liu, Jet Chew, Maggie Gao, Kate Shao, Ziyan Cheng, Helena Jiang, Kate Kim and the entire China HR team.

This is very cool: Clarios has won the global sustainability "Circular Economy Award". We are a hot topic in the arena of companies who actually do our own recycling of our own products!Congratulations to the entire team who made this happen - from the operations and supply chain employees who do the work every day, to the team who recognized this value and helped nominate us for the award. #PoweredbyClarioshttps://lnkd.in/gSdiPv4G

Hosted over 20 of our global HR team members in Glendale, WI this week. It’s genuinely impressive how much you can fit into a few days. It wasn’t all just locking ourselves in conference rooms for strategy talk… We had candid conversations with employees at our local plant, served breakfast to our corporate office team members (got to put my old food service skills to good use for that one!), and had some very good meals (and drinks) together. Wishing everyone safe travels home today and good luck catching up on your inboxes!

Spent my Sunday with our Clarios colleagues and their families in Red Oak, Iowa celebrating our Clarios facility’s 20th anniversary there. Red Oak is a small town full of some hard-working people. This facility alone pumps out 4 million grids essential for AGM batteries across the US every day. As an auto part company, we tend to attract a lot of gear heads to our teams and will often take celebrations like these as a chance to spotlight the classic cars many of our employees have lovingly restored or customized. At today’s event I found a vehicle that really spoke to me: meet my new friend Scott Cooper, a long-time machine operator at our Red Oak plant, and his 1962 Ford Galaxie. I considered canceling my flight home and making an offer on the car, but he wasn’t sure it would make the drive back to Milwaukee. You win some, you lose some. Congratulations to Scott and the entire Clarios Red Oak team on 20 great years.

Spent the week in Europe getting to learn from some great Clarios colleagues. After our regional leadership conference in Hamburg, I stopped by our Krautscheid plant this morning before flying home. Trips like these always remind me of the importance of a strong team focused on winning together. No matter how far apart we may be physically, we're always aligned behind a shared mission and values. Thanks to all who hosted me. It was a pleasure to meet new faces and reconnect in person with so many of my European colleagues. #PoweredByClarios
