Your contributionYou will be responsible for requirements analysis and requirements management within Clarios Engineering & Product Development. These responsibilities include collecting requirements from stakeholders, users, and customers, reconciling requirements between competing customers’ demands, analyzing the requirements for viability and feasibility, prioritizing and organizing the requirements based on their importance and dependencies, documenting the requirements in a clear and concise testable specifications which serves the guide and reference for the development team and stakeholders, validating the requirements are clear, complete, and implementable, and meet the needs of the business and customer needs (internal and external), and facilitate the reviewing and getting approval from stakeholders

The role will be based in Hannover, Germany.(Key) Responsibilities: What you will doRequirement Analysis:

• Receive requirements from Clarios customer contacts, but also work directly with customers in identifying specific product deliverables and specifications.
• Perform reconciliation to meet product targets, including historical test data as well as simulation data or available vehicle battery application knowledge.
• Validate that the established requirements meet customer needs (internal and external) and translating customers’ needs into clear and concise testable specifications.
• Utilizing existing modelling and simulation tools to make predictions and recommendations based on data.
• Verify that requirements meet customer needs (both internal and external) in dependence of project gate (Requirements Sign-Offs).
• Predict product requirements to anticipate next generation customer needs to support next generation product programs.

Requirement Management:

• Apply requirements tools for managing requirements according to the requirements analysis process.
• Mentoring other engineering team members about the requirements analysis process, customer test specifications, requirements trends and specific applications
• Perform requirements review in RFQ and RFI process.
• Support activities in regard of internal / external standardization if required.
• Apply internal and external standards in the requirements management process.
• Support in identifying safety related requirements.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: What we look for

• Master’s in engineering, materials science, or a related field – scientific background is also possible.
• Solid years of working experience in a development role or advanced engineering role.
• Must have a working knowledge of various battery systems, subsystems, and components and preferably Li-ion or lead acid batteries.
• Solid knowledge in battery design, failure mechanisms, and lab testing and the implication to battery performance and life.
• Ability to grasp technical publications and texts quickly and extract/compile the relevant information.
• Basic understanding of systems engineering fundamentals and processes preferred.
• Experience with Requirements Management tools, such as JAMA connect, ReqMan, etc. preferred.
• Experience with A-SPICE, ISO 26262, and other processes preferred.
• Ability to work cross functionally with design engineering, technical sales, customers, and program management.
• Analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent Team player, etail oriented working style and ability to work in a matrix organization.
• Fluent in English and excellent communication skills.
